Indonesian Gas Fruit
So, one of the things I’ve grown up vaguely knowing is that there’s a fruit in Southeast Asia that smells like petrol. Just a random factoid. I even had the name wrong for years, saying Derrian (and calling a friend’s brother GasFruit) instead of durian. Now, not only do I know what it’s called, I know how it tastes. It tastes like meat. It is now, officially, the strangest thing I have eaten. The fruit looks imposing, all spiky and such, and once opened it appears to have been inhabited by some variety of symbiont, light yellow and disturbingly fleshy. Almost like a foie gras. So now, there’s that off the list. This fruit is banned on a lot of Asian mass transit systems. For good reason.
Yes, this is, in fact, what I choose to break my blogging drought with. It’s that much of an experience.

Things that happen
Well, I guess first of all, when we updated to the newer WordPress, I lost all my old tags. So if you not only visited my site, but looked around for specific things and themes, I guess you a little out of luck. Alas.
Fancy news is that I have a computer now. No internet at the new apartment, but I for sure have a computer now. This is the first computer that is absolutely mine. Well, mine and the Girl’s, but I actually have significant ownership over this. It’s an exciting time, to be sure. More exciting if I had Internet, but I’ll deal with that eventually.
Other brief things worth noting include last night’s Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork, which I will comment more on when I upload photos, and my imminent wedding to the Girl. It is a mere fortnight hence. I’m pretty pumped. That’s what I’ve got now.
